Energy Systems Group partnered with Burbank School District 111 leadership to develop a comprehensive energy infrastructure improvement project that creates long-term system reliability, reduces energy consumption, and underlines a commitment to the environment. This project will result in over $2 million of energy savings, over the term of the contract.
The Burbank School District 111 is a public K-8 school district that consists of eight school buildings and one administration building. The project scope includes energy conservation measures and improvements across all nine district buildings:
• Geothermal Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems in two school buildings (Kennedy & McCord)
• Lighting upgrades and occupancy sensors in all nine district buildings
• 1 kW demonstrator model solar panel complete with dashboard to enhance the
By implementing these energy conservation measures and building upgrades, the Burbank School District has reduced its carbon footprint by more than 2 million pounds of carbon dioxide annually, which is equivalent to planting 266 acres of trees annually, or the removal of emissions from 167 vehicles per year.
