Dolton School District 149 has partnered with Energy Systems Group (ESG), a leading energy services provider, to develop and implement infrastructure improvements that include new boilers and domestic hot water heating systems at Caroline Sibley, Berger-Vandenberg and Diekman Elementary Schools. This project underlines our commitment to excellence by ensuring our school buildings are operating effectively and efficiently. By enhancing the learning and work environment, we are also reducing our carbon footprint, thereby promoting environmental stewardship.

As part of these improvements, asbestos abatement activities were performed by an Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor (M&O Environmental) that were completed in the three schools by August 5, 2014. Abatement activities were performed utilizing strict engineering controls and work practices in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
